Intended role
A transmission wire for returns prepared elsewhere.
Terminal Tax is intended to be a transmission wire for an already-prepared individual federal return supplied by the taxpayer's own software or agent.
Prepared elsewhere
The taxpayer's software or agent supplies the completed return, the facts, and the filing choices.
Mechanical by design
The intended service would mechanically validate caller-supplied data, package the taxpayer-supplied return for transmission, and relay filing acknowledgements. It may reproduce deterministic arithmetic from caller-supplied values only inside a narrowly supported envelope; it does not select treatments or complete missing facts.
The taxpayer signs
The taxpayer must personally review the complete return and perform every required signature and possession-factor step.
Deliberate limits
Preparation happens elsewhere.
Terminal Tax is not intended to conduct a tax interview, select tax treatments, fill factual gaps, provide tax advice, or infer missing or ambiguous values. Terminal Tax itself does not use a language model to determine, select, infer, or alter return data.
Missing or ambiguous values stop the process and remain for the taxpayer and their software or agent to resolve.
No Terminal Tax filing portal, login, or forms.
